CAMPAIGN MANAGER

Key responsibilities

The campaign manager will report directly to the Director. S/He is responsible in developing and executing human rights based strategy, plans and campaigns, manage a small team professional campaigners, set priorities, prepare budgets, manage resources, liaise with, communicate and coordinate with AI’s international campaign teams, regional office and other AI sections. The campaign manager will work together with other teams in developing and implementing joint campaign and fundraising strategies, plans and actions, and network with diverse offices, organizations and constituencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in conceptualizing, strategic planning and execution of plans
  • Experience in directing and managing staff
  •  
  • Ability to translate international campaign initiatives and issues locally
  • Capacity to work under pressure and deliver result
  • Excellent leadership & interpersonal communication (verbal and written) skills in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
  • Experience in working with NGOs is preferred

CHINA RESEARCHER

As a research-based campaigning organization, investigating and documenting human rights issues is fundamental to Amnesty International's advocacy and lobbying work. Our Asia Pacific Regional Programme requires a researcher, who can identify, thoroughly investigate, and write about wide-ranging human rights issues ensuring our voice has authority.  In addition to your sound political judgement you will have excellent research and writing skills. It is essential that you have worked on human rights issues, have worked in or have substantial knowledge of China, fluency in English and proficiency in Mandarin and have experience with lobbying and advocacy.

 INTERN - Campaign Intern

Description

The intern is responsible for organizing advocacy events and carrying out campaigning tasks. The intern is expected to commit at least 3 months of full time work.

Requirements

  • Share and support the value of human rights;
  • Good knowledge of the socio-political, human rights and cultural situations of HK, Mainland China and
  • Asia Pacific;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);
  • Able to work efficiently under minimum supervision
  • Experience in working with NGOs is preferred

 


 

INTERN - Fundraising Intern

Description

The intern is responsible for telemarketing, mainly contacting lapsed and major donors and supports the fundraising team by carrying out other tasks. The intern is required to work twice a week for at least 3 months.

Requirements

  • Good command in Cantonese and English
  • Punctual and nice, with positive working attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Good organizing ability
  • Able to work efficiently under minimum supervision
  • Basic knowledge in social and human rights issues is a plus

INTERN - Human Rights Education Intern

Description

The intern is responsible for researching and developing human rights education materials on a selected topic. There is no minimum duration for this internship, but interns are required to complete a full set of materials over the course of their internship.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master or PhD program in human rights law
  • Strong research skills, and policy analysis experience desirable
  • Excellent command of the English and Chinese and strong writing skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with the Hong Kong educational system is preferable
  • Degree holders with exceptional research experience and human rights law knowledge will also be considered
